Course Aim: The aim of this HACCP Level 1 Food Safety training course, is to teach you about the different skills that you are required to have when you work in a food business.
This course will teach you about the different Food Safety Skills that are set out under the FSAI guideline on Food Safety Training. The FSAI breaks the skills down into
Level 1 - Stage 1 (9 Skills) and Level 1 - Stage 2 (11 Skills).
This course covers all the skills required by the FSAI in their "Guide for Training, Level 1 - Stage 1 and 2 skills":-
- Food Safety Awareness
- Food Contamination and Prevention
- Safe Food Procedures
- Personal Hygiene
- HACCP – Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points System
- Food Safety Law in Ireland
The course will finish with a multiple choice test, we will ask questions along the way to test your knowledge, these knowledge checks are not part of the overall test.
Food Safety Training is an important skill set for all employees working in a food business, this includes waiters, servers, bar staff, baristas,kitchen porters. and so on.
Failure to follow good food hygiene practices can result in food poisoning and exposure to allergens both of which can be fatal.
This level 1 training anyone looking to progress onto HACCP Level 2 Food Safety Training.
You must complete a Multiple Choice Test at the end of your course. This test takes around 15 minutes to complete.
Once the test is successfully completed you will be able to download your Certificate of Completion immediately.
If you fail the test, don't worry; you will be able to resit it again straight away, but remember all the questions and answers choices will come out in a different order each time you take the test.
